Cristiano Ronaldo scored a stunning goal to lead Al Nassr to a 2-1 win over Al-Riyadh in the Saudi Pro League on Saturday night.

The Portugal captain produced a match-winning performance with a brace to hand his team the maximum points.

Al-Riyadh broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time when Faiz Selemani scored from a rebound to make it 1-0.

Ronaldo brought Al Nassr back into the game, tapping in from a Saido Mane’s cross to make it 1-1.

The 40-year-old then scored a world class goal to make it 2-1. Mane was at the heart of it again with his cross cleared to the path of Ronaldo, who unleashed an outrageous first-time volley that flew into the top corner.

Al Nassr coach Stefano Pioli showered praises on Ronaldo for his latest match-winning performance.

He said: Stefano Pioli: “Cristiano Ronaldo helped us build this team as the leader of the group.. I can’t talk about his performance on the field and what you saw today is the best response to his critics.”

Ronaldo has now scored four goals in his last two matches for Al Nassr after scoring a brace in the 3-1 win over Al Hilal last weekend.

He is now the top scorer in the Saudi Pro League with 23 goals. He is now 67 goals away from reaching 1,000 goals in his career.

The former Manchester United star has now scored 96 goals and recorded 19 assists for Al Nassr since joining the club in 2022.
