Nollywood star Regina Daniels has fired back fiercely at the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, after he publicly supported her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, while alleging that the actress is battling addiction and in urgent need of help.
What began as mild tension has now spiralled into a dramatic public showdown, with both parties exchanging explosive accusations that have set social media buzzing.
Taking to her Instagram story in a blistering response, Regina Daniels accused Rollas of being compromised and accepting money to smear her reputation.
In a strongly worded statement, the actress expressed disappointment, questioning how someone she once admired could turn against her for “chicken change.”
She wrote:
“What happened to the fatherly figure I admired solely because of the respect and devotion my mum had for you? I already know, so I can say for a fact that you were paid chicken change to speak nonsense about a child who benefited nothing under your administration, yet gave you the biggest honour you have through my ex-husband.”
Her post immediately went viral, intensifying public interest in the unfolding drama surrounding her marriage to Ned Nwoko.
Emeka Rollas had earlier taken to Instagram to share a lengthy statement defending Nwoko while painting a troubling picture of Regina’s emotional state.
According to him, Regina is dealing with “serious emotional instability” and needs urgent intervention from professionals. He further claimed that respected Nollywood veterans, Okey Bakassi, Chinyere Wilfred, and Jide Kosoko had witnessed her alleged unstable behaviour on set.
Rollas also referenced a controversial incident at Regina’s son’s birthday party, claiming that Nwoko confronted her about smoking. The AGN president quoted the billionaire politician as allegedly saying:
“If you stop smoking, you’ll have your own daughter.”
He insisted his intentions were not to shame Regina but to push her toward seeking help.
The AGN president didn’t stop there. He accused Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, of prioritizing political influence within the guild over her daughter’s wellbeing.
According to him, Rita Daniels has been “more focused on AGN politics” instead of addressing Regina’s alleged struggles.
The public back-and-forth has deepened concerns about the actress’s already strained marriage to Ned Nwoko, which has been plagued by heavy media scrutiny and repeated rumours of conflict.
