Controversial street-hop singer, Habeeb Olalomi Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has stirred up fresh drama on social media after launching a scathing attack on Nigerian cross-dresser and influencer Idris Okuneye, now known as Afolashade Amope Okuneye, also widely recognized as Bobrisky.
The Zazu crooner, never one to shy away from controversy, reacted to Bobrisky’s recent name change and gender affirmation with harsh words and an open challenge to a physical showdown. In a video posted to his Instagram page, Portable mocked Bobrisky’s new identity and questioned the legitimacy of his transition, alleging that “money was used to change what is on his chest.”
“Portable dares Bobrisky to physical fight, demands N100m, Ferrari,” he declared in the now-viral video, insisting that he would only show up for the face-off if those two conditions were met.
Going further, Portable called on Bobrisky’s mother to “warn her son,” and boasted about his strength, claiming he could disfigure the cross-dresser’s face with a single punch. He threw down the gauntlet, daring Bobrisky to return to Nigeria for a one-on-one confrontation.
“I’m ready for a showdown,” he said, chest high, in his signature street-style delivery.
This heated response came on the heels of Bobrisky’s latest announcement where he officially ditched his birth name, Idris Okuneye, and embraced a new feminine identity, Afolashade Amope Okuneye. He also reiterated his pride in undergoing gender-affirming surgery and embracing womanhood despite public criticism and online trolling.
In a bold and defiant Instagram post, Bobrisky declared:
“Is time y’all accept Bob is now a woman. Have done everything, congratulations to me, I can now collect gbola like we all women do. I’m proud of myself. Not even one billion trolls will stop me from getting everything I want. Afolashade Amope, you won. They tried to bully me, but they forgot say me self get coconut head. Before you open ur dirty mouth to ask if I have a womb, I don’t need it. I love how dis married men spends heavily on me and I don’t have to keep unwanted child for him to destroy his happy home. I’m here to keep marriages intact.”
While Bobrisky continues to live his truth unapologetically, Portable’s aggressive response has sparked mixed reactions across social media platforms. Some users criticized the singer for inciting violence and using offensive language, while others saw the outburst as another attention-grabbing stunt in his long list of online theatrics.
As the clash between both controversial figures continues to trend, fans and observers are left wondering whether Bobrisky will take the bait and respond or let the noise fade into the background of Nigeria’s ever-dramatic entertainment space.
