Nigerian rapper and hip-hop sensation Odumodublvck has made a heartfelt declaration that has stirred both admiration and curiosity from fans. In a recent post on his X handle, the rapper revealed his intention to “quit music once all the members of his hip-hop collective, Anti World Gangstars, become successful musicians.”
He wrote bluntly, “Once all my nggas make it in music, I’m out,”* signaling a deep sense of loyalty and brotherhood rarely seen in the hyper-competitive music industry.
The Anti World Gangstars is a close-knit collective made up of six members, Odumodublvck, Agunna, Fatboy E, Reeplay, Shagba, and their in-house producer/engineer, Cross. While Odumodublvck has soared to stardom over the last few years, the other members remain mostly underground, still grinding for mainstream recognition.
Odumodublvck, whose career took a major leap after the success of his 2023 breakout single “Declan Rice,” has since collaborated with some of the biggest names in the game, including Nigerian superstar Davido and British rap giants Skepta and Stormzy. Despite his individual acclaim, the rapper has consistently used his platform to spotlight his group, often referencing them in his lyrics and interviews.
In a recent interview, he confidently stated that “Declan Rice” is “the most impactful” Nigerian hip-hop song ever, a claim that has sparked conversations among music critics and fans alike.
However, Odumodublvck’s latest statement suggests that his ultimate goal isn’t just personal fame but a collective rise. His commitment to stepping away from the limelight once his brothers taste success reflects a rare selflessness in an industry driven by personal ambition.
While fans may not be ready to see him bow out anytime soon, his declaration adds another layer to the rapper’s persona, an artist as devoted to the culture as he is to his crew. Until then, all eyes remain on the Anti World Gangstars, as the spotlight begins to shift beyond their leading voice.
