Afrobeats superstar Davido has taken a public swipe at the former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Timothy Owoeye, following the lawmaker’s controversial remarks about the Adeleke family and their alleged political affiliations.
The drama unfolded after Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Davido’s uncle paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Tinubu in Lagos on Tuesday. The visit, which also included Davido and his billionaire father Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, came amidst tensions over the ongoing local government elections crisis in Osun State.
The situation has been tense since February 2025, when local government allocations were withheld due to the dispute between the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state. “Adeleke family is not welcome in the APC. There is no space for PDP and Adeleke in APC.”
