Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has revealed that she had a lady arrested for secretly taking a photo of her at the gym; a picture that later circulated online and sparked body-shaming comments.
The actress opened up about the emotional ordeal during an appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast, where she broke down in tears while recounting the incident.
A photo of Nkechi working out had recently made the rounds on social media, attracting mixed reactions. She clarified that the image was taken without her consent and insisted that the backlash pushed her to take action.
Visibly distressed, Nkechi explained that she has always been confident in her natural body, reminding critics that she is a mother to a six-year-old son. She condemned people who undergo cosmetic procedures yet choose to mock women who embrace their natural looks.
Despite challenges, the actress said she eventually tracked down the woman who snapped the picture and had her arrested. She also accused the gym management of initially withholding vital information that could have helped her identify the culprit sooner.
In her words:
“This is my body, this is how I’ve always been. I have a 6-year-old son. You get BBL, you dey snap me wey get natural body—are you st*pid? I found her and got her arrested… na because I no come online?”
Nkechi’s emotional revelation has once again ignited conversations about body shaming, privacy violations, and consent, especially involving public figures.
