1. Johnson Jakande Tinubu Park

The Johnson Jakande Tinubu Park is in Alausa, beside the Lagos State House Of Assembly. Ex-governor Mr. Akinwumi Ambode opened it to honour the previous governors – Lateef Jakande, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Brigadier Mobolaji, and Johnson Rtd.

JJT park has lots of thrilling features such as free Wifi, trees, flowers, lush grasses, a waterfall, food court. It gives up nature vibes with ample space for children to play and adults to relax. If there was ever a nice place to take pictures in Ikeja, this park would be it.

Location: Opposite House of Assembly beside Lagos State Secretariat Alausa, 100001, Ikeja.

Opens: Monday – Sunday, 9 am -6 pm.

2. Ikeja City Mall

Ikeja City Mall has everything you need for an ultimate hangout experience; you can eat, shop, or see a movie at the cinema here. This mega-mall features over 75 stores selling clothes, accessories, digital gadgets, home decor, bags, jewellery, shoes, and perfumes.

You can take your pictures at any of its beautiful spots like the Rhapsody Lounge. You could also sample the other restaurants or fast food franchises here to eat Nigerian or intercontinental dishes from Italy, France, or Mexico. And if you don’t want to eat, you could go to the arcade to play games or take cool pictures.

3. Sidewalk Lounge & Bar

Sidewalk Lounge & Bar comes in at number 3 on our list of nice places to take pictures in Ikeja. This place is great for going alone or with friends. You could indulge in their grilled fish, catfish pepper soup, and beer.

The Lounge also has karaoke and live music which you can enjoy while you eat by yourself or with your squad.

Location: 79 Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja (Inside Trinity Mall).

4. Orchid Bistro Cafe & Restaurant

Orchid Bistro Cafe & Restaurant is a great place to relax and spend some time. This place has a fantastic view of the city, delicious food, and lots of exciting activities. 

The environment at Orchid is calm, lovely, and classy. It is decorated with beautiful eye-catching plants and is colourful. The look of this spot places it among the nice places to take pictures in Ikeja.

Some dishes you can sample from the cafe’s menu include salads, crab cakes, French fries, chicken strips dipped in sauce, and battered fish fillet paired with buttered carrots and fries. Occasionally Orchid hosts karaoke nights and live bands you can dance to.

Opens: Sunday – Thursday, 7 am – 9 pm. Friday, 7 am – 11 pm. Saturday, 7 am – 10 pm.

5. Kalakuta Museum

Kalakuta Museum is a replica of the life and home of musical legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti. It is a great hangout spot, a nice place to take pictures in Ikeja and learn about Fela’s history and legacy. Kalakuta is situated in what used to be Kuti’s home when he was alive.

The Museum is used to mark Fela’s birthday annually. It is filled with the spectacular clothes and shoes he wore while performing. His rooms, albums, musical instruments, and other personal effects are placed for sightseeing. Most of the furniture is untouched, giving you a glimpse into the revolutionary’s personal lives.

You cannot touch, but you can certainly take numerous pictures of the arts, clothes, house, and statutes of Fela which are also on display.

6. Bamboo Lounge And Guest House

A post on nice places to take pictures in Ikeja wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t include Bamboo Lounge and Guest House. The Lounge is laid back and meant for relaxation more than the other locations in this article and it will easily become your favourite hangout spot.

Bamboo provides respite from the hassles of the city and creates a space for you to enjoy some peace. The decor is modern and enchanting, making it a good place to chill or catch up with friends.

Of course, they have food too. Some meals you can enjoy here are Nigerian jollof rice to more foreign dishes. You could also order from their drinks menu made up of craft beers, wines, spirits, mixers, etc. You could also listen to music from DJs as you sway to reggae or hip-hop tunes.

7. Pool Terrace Bar

The Pool Terrace Bar has become one of the top nice places to take pictures in Ikeja. it provides a distinct and enthralling atmosphere with an impressive outdoor. The Terrace is great for fun in the sun (just think of what that lightning would do for your photos).

Besides its pool, there is also an extensive drinks menu that serves all taste buds. You could get a light beer or something more fancy. There are also snacks and light meals available, making it a perfect place to chill after work or a meeting.
