Billionaire businessman and senator, Ned Nwoko, has publicly opened up about the crisis rocking his marriage to Regina Daniels, revealing shocking details about alleged harassment from her family, her battle with drug addiction, and the extensive financial support he claims to have provided to her relatives.
In a detailed statement shared on Saturday, accompanied by video evidence, Nwoko accused Regina’s brother, Sammy West, of repeatedly storming his residence to harass his children and staff, especially in his absence.
“This is someone I sponsored through his last two years at the University of Ekpoma. I bought his musical instruments, rented and furnished a flat for him in Abuja, in addition to the house I bought for Regina in Asaba before our marriage,” Nwoko stated.
The senator said he had extended financial help to members of Regina’s family over the years, including her mother, Rita Daniels, to whom he claimed he transferred ₦125 million in the last two years.
He also alleged that Regina had been undergoing rehabilitation for substance dependence, a process he said was disrupted by her siblings and close friends, naming Sammy, Destiny, Sonia Uche, and Montana as those who allegedly smuggled drugs to her during therapy.
“Instead of helping her recover, they encouraged her addiction and frustrated the doctors’ efforts,” he said, adding that he neither drinks nor smokes and found their behavior “unacceptable.”
Nwoko further described several instances where Regina stayed out all night, once returning at 9 a.m. and telling him, “You’re not my father, so don’t ask me where I was.” He claimed she often dismissed his concerns as part of her “celebrity lifestyle.”
The senator said the now-viral video showing a confrontation at his home was “a pure Nollywood act” staged by Regina’s sister and friend while he was away.
“It is blatantly false to say I sent thugs to beat Regina. Everything that happened that day was in my house, in my absence,” he clarified.
Nwoko advised Sammy West to “get his life together,” revealing he once offered to sponsor him abroad for further studies, but he declined, preferring to stay in Nigeria to pursue music.
“Sammy has been arrested before by the police and EFCC. He needs rehab; otherwise, his violent behavior will continue,” Nwoko added.
The senator’s revelations come amid public outrage over Sammy West’s reported detention, which many have linked to the ongoing family dispute.
Meanwhile, Regina Daniels has stated that she is willing to return to her husband’s home to secure her brother’s release, as Nwoko confirmed he has withdrawn the move to arrest her mother.
The unfolding drama continues to dominate social media, with fans and industry figures divided over the shocking claims from both sides.
