Spring Mulberry is voluntarily recalling its Mint Leaf Date Sweetened Chocolate Bars due to potential salmonella contamination.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the recall on Monday after routine testing by a third-party laboratory flagged the issue.
The affected chocolate bars have been available for purchase online and in retail stores nationwide since September 15, 2025.
Customers can identify the recalled product by its teal outer packaging and lot code #025255, which is printed on the clear plastic inner wrapping.

No illnesses have been reported so far, but the company is urging anyone who bought the bars to throw them away immediately.
Salmonella is a common bacteria that causes fever, diarrhea, and vomiting in most healthy individuals.
However, the FDA warns that these infections can be fatal for young children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems.
In rare instances, salmonella can enter the bloodstream and cause serious conditions like arterial infections or arthritis.
If you have purchased this specific specialty chocolate bar, check the lot code before consuming.
