Popular Nigerian media personality and longtime host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Frank Edoho, has revealed that his second marriage has come to an end, marking another chapter of heartbreak in his personal life.
The broadcaster made the candid revelation during a recent appearance on the Tea With Tay podcast, where he spoke about his struggles with love, commitment, and the emotional toll of failed relationships.
Frank, who first rose to prominence in the early 2000s as the charismatic face of the hit TV game show, had previously been married to broadcaster and actress Katherine Obiang. The union ended in 2011 amid public speculation and media scrutiny. Not long after, he tied the knot with Sandra Onyenuchenuya, a union that many thought signaled a fresh start for the TV star.
However, while reflecting on his personal journey on the podcast, Edoho revealed that his marriage to Sandra had also ended in separation. Speaking with raw honesty, he admitted that despite his best efforts in both relationships, things simply didn’t work out.
“Maybe I’m not good at marriage, I must confess,” he said, offering a glimpse into the emotional depth behind his otherwise composed public persona.
Edoho went on to share his views on love and soulmates, suggesting that despite loving deeply, he may not have found someone truly compatible with him.
“The two women I had been married to are not my soul mates,” he said. “Love of your life is different from your soul mate. The love of your life is the person who comes to your mind when you think of love. But your soul mate is someone who understands you even before you express yourself and you naturally align with.”
He added that he had always been a committed partner, willing to sacrifice everything for the happiness of his spouse.
“I know that I went above and beyond for the two marriages. I carried my partner… I can abandon everything for her. But you don’t blame them for falling out of love with you,” he explained.
To illustrate the unpredictable nature of love and relationships, Edoho referenced the case of Brazilian football star Kaka, whose wife divorced him despite his seemingly perfect image.
“Take the footballer Kaka for example, he’s a Brazilian and he looks as handsome as an Indian. Very handsome guy, even when he retired from football, he was still handsome. But his wife divorced him. Do you know what she said? ‘He is too good’.”
The revelation has sparked a wave of reactions on social media, with many fans expressing sympathy for the TV host and others applauding his vulnerability in discussing such a sensitive subject publicly.
While Frank Edoho remains a respected figure in Nigerian media, his openness about personal challenges adds a new layer to his public image, one that many find both relatable and deeply human.
