Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca has been handed a one-match Premier League ban by England’s Football Association for receiving three yellow cards.
The Italian manager received his third booking of the season against Fulham on Sunday for his wild celebrations after Pedro Neto scored a 92nd minute winner to seal the maximum points.
Consequently, He is expected to sit out Chelsea’s Premier League clash against Everton on Saturday.
Maresca’s previous bookings this season were against Newcastle and Bournemouth.
Assistant manager Willy Caballero is expected to take charge of the clash against Everton while Maresca will return to the dugout against Liverpool on May 4.
Maresca has been a subject of criticisms from Chelsea fans following the club’s poor form in recent weeks, which has seen them struggle to keep their place in the top four after spending the whole season there.
He has led Chelsea to the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League.
The 2-1 win over Fulham moved Chelsea up to fifth and the final Champions League spot, above Nottingham Forest on goal difference.
