A 49-year-old man was shot multiple times in the upper body early Monday morning while pumping gas at an Aurora service station. West suburban police have released images of the suspected shooter and are asking the public for help.
Aurora police officers responded to the Mobil gas station at 300 South Broadway around 3:45 a.m. The victim was located with multiple gunshot wounds.
According to police, the victim was pumping gas when a male suspect approached him, fired several shots, and then fled the scene eastbound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. His injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
Police released images of the alleged shooter, who was described as wearing a gray winter coat, brown pants, and brown shoes.
Aurora police K-9 units searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
