The team from the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources has conducted a major cleanup operation on Nnamdi Azikwe Street in Lagos Island.
The ministry’s Emergency Flood Abatement Gang (EFAG) was responsible for the cleaning, as shared by Commissioner Tokunbo Wahab.
The action is part of the ongoing efforts to prevent flooding and improve the sanitation of key areas in the state.
The cleanup, which involved clearing waste and blockages, aims to ensure that water can flow freely during the rainy season, reducing the risk of flood damage for residents and businesses in the area.
