Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu shared exciting news about the Lagos Rail Mass Transit Blue Line on its second anniversary. He posted a message to Lagos residents, highlighting the rail’s success and offering a special deal.
Two years ago, the state launched the Blue Line to improve public transport. Since then, it has carried more than five million passengers without any accidents. Trains now run every ten minutes and make over 90 trips each day. This has made travel faster and easier for many people.
Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed pride in these achievements. He thanked Lagosians for their trust and support. “This project belongs to all of us,” he said. He noted that the progress shows what dedication can achieve.
To celebrate the anniversary, the governor announced a 50% reduction in fares on the Blue Line for Thursday, September 4, 2025. He encouraged those who have not tried it to take a ride and see the improvements.
The governor ended his message by saying the work continues. He aims to build a Lagos where moving around is safer and quicker for everyone.
