If you’ve seen the viral videos of people joyfully bouncing on glowing, candy-like “Jelly Beds” that promise a “soft, springy hug,” we have to break the news to you: The Jelly Beds are completely fake.
The mesmerizing videos, which have gathered millions of views on social media, are simply a sophisticated product of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) and advanced digital design.
The creator, known online as “Inspiring Designs,” is a well-known producer of high-quality, but non-existent, digital concepts. This artist specializes in creating hyper-realistic videos of fantasy products. The Jelly Beds are another brilliant, yet unreal, item in their portfolio.
The Truth About ‘Jelly Beds’
The fictional product was promoted with the claim that it offers “comfort with a side of whimsy and a sprinkle of wow,” glowing just enough to “set a mood.”
However, the truth is that no such commercially available, functional product exists. The bouncy, translucent, glow-in-the-dark beds seen in the viral clip are Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI).
This follows a trend of convincing AI hoaxes, including another recent viral video from the same creator featuring fake Hydrosteps water jet shoes.
While the thought of sleeping on a giant cube of candy is fun, you won’t find a real ‘Jelly Bed’ in any furniture store.
