Media personality Sophia Momodu has issued a stern response to critics questioning why her daughter, Imade, was absent from Davido’s 33rd birthday celebration in Atlanta.
Taking to Snapchat, Sophia addressed a user who accused her of deliberately keeping Imade away from the event. She dismissed the claim as yet another attempt to push a decade-long false narrative, stressing that her priority has always been protecting her daughter.
In her words:
“You people have been doing this false narrative thing for over 10 years now. And while I try to be as graceful as I can, I’m also a very protective mother. Say whatever you want about me, it’s ok. But leave my child alone. This is non-negotiable. Imade is not a bargaining chip for her mother to conform.”
Imade’s absence was widely noticed as Davido celebrated with family and friends, including his second daughter, Hailey. The chatter that followed prompted Sophia to call out blogs for publishing misleading information about her child.
She also revealed plans to pursue legal action against individuals and platforms spreading false stories about Imade’s well-being.
Her message was unmistakably clear: her daughter’s privacy and safety are not up for debate.
