Legendary Nigerian music icon, Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has stirred social media with a candid revelation about his views on sexual fidelity and monogamy.
In a new interview with popular media personality Nedu on Mzan podcast, the veteran singer made a bold and controversial statement that has reignited conversations about male fidelity and celebrity relationships.
Five months after announcing his separation from wife and actress, Annie Macaulay-Idibia, 2Face opened up about the challenges he faces with being sexually committed to one woman. The couple, who had been together for over a decade and share two children, had endured a turbulent relationship often marred by rumors and accusations of infidelity.
During the interview, Nedu posed a direct question: “Is it possible to be loyal and be 2Face? Is it possible to be a loyal man to a woman?”
2Face, without mincing words, responded:
“I have said this a couple of days ago, and I got into trouble for it but I didn’t care about that. Man no fits, I don’t know ooo but let me talk for my own self. I no go talk about other men. A man is not built to sexually be with one woman. Man can give his heart and love to one woman, but it’s impossible for a man to sexually be with one woman.”
His comments, which many have described as brutally honest, have sparked a wave of reactions online, some criticizing him for promoting infidelity, while others applauded his openness about a topic many consider taboo.
2Face’s remarks come just days after he publicly unveiled his new lover, Natasha Osawuru, on social media further fueling conversations about his personal life and romantic choices.
Prior to their split, Annie had repeatedly accused the singer of infidelity. She also revealed that he fathered five children with other women outside their marriage, which had been a source of emotional strain over the years.
Now, with 2Face boldly expressing his personal truth about sexual loyalty, the public is once again divided over whether celebrities should be held to traditional standards of commitment or allowed to live by their own rules.
