Nigerian blogger and former singer, Tunde Ednut, has once again found himself at the center of social media buzz after taking a playful jab at music superstar Wizkid.
The drama started when a curious fan asked Tunde Ednut during an online exchange when he planned to acquire his own private jet, just like his close friend, Davido.
In response, Tunde Ednut quipped: “I will buy private jet after Wizkid buys one. After Wizkid, by God’s grace.”
The cheeky remark instantly triggered reactions across social platforms, with fans split over whether he was simply joking or deliberately throwing shade at Wizkid. Many suggested that his statement was a subtle attempt to provoke the Grammy-winning singer, while others defended it as harmless banter.
This isn’t the first time Tunde has been entangled in a drama involving Wizkid. Back in 2021, he stirred controversy when he called Wizkid his “younger brother” while commending his stage performance, a comment that didn’t sit well with Starboy’s fanbase.
Wizkid himself has previously taken swipes at Tunde, once remarking that the blogger needed “deliverance,” while also stating that he doesn’t diss people with disabilities.
The latest exchange comes at a time when Davido’s family has been making headlines for their extravagant wealth. Just recently, Davido celebrated his billionaire father Dr. Deji Adeleke, for the acquisition of a third private jet barely a year after purchasing a $75 million jet.
The singer also hosted a star-studded wedding in Miami, further cementing their status among Nigeria’s most flamboyant families.
