“I Still Live Like a Poor Man” – Kizz Daniel Reflects on Wealth, Fame, and the Price of Happiness

Despite his chart-topping hits and enviable success in the music industry, Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel says he still lives like a poor man. The Buga crooner made this revelation while sharing his thoughts on the complex relationship between money and happiness.

Kizz Daniel sparked conversation on social media after posting a reflective message questioning the true value of wealth. “Why when money comes, happiness dey always comot?” he asked, noting how many wealthy individuals often battle sadness in silence.

The singer, who is preparing for the release of his highly anticipated album Uncle K, cautioned fans against the illusion of happiness often portrayed on social media. He urged them to see beyond the filters and recognize that money doesn’t automatically equate to joy.

One fan reacted to his post, questioning how he could say money doesn’t bring happiness while actively chasing it. Kizz Daniel responded with a surprising truth: “Lol … I still live like a poor man every day. Na money dey chase me instead.”

Clarifying his stance, he explained that he isn’t against hustling or striving for success but warned that financial wealth comes with hidden burdens.

“Guys, I’m not saying don’t chase money,” he said. “I’m just saying with money comes problems. People wey get am no go tell una the truth cuz they want to feel superior.”

His candid message offered a rare glimpse into the mental and emotional realities behind fame and fortune, reminding fans that even the richest stars aren’t immune to life’s deeper challenges. As the buzz builds around Uncle K, it seems Kizz Daniel is more focused on staying grounded than chasing illusions.
