Popular Nigerian skitmaker and singer Nasiru Lawal, better known as Nasboi, has sparked a wave of reactions online after openly sharing his desire to walk away from fame for good.
In a candid post on X, Nasboi revealed that he values wealth far more than the spotlight, stressing that the pressures that come with fame are nothing he wants to relive, whether in this life or the next.
According to him, once he amasses ₦5 billion, he plans to step back completely from the entertainment scene.
He wrote:
“I will choose having money over being famous… I no fit try this kind thing for my next life again. Once my money complete 5 billion, I don disembark. I no do again… No skit, no music, no acting. Make brain rest.”
The comedian explained that after years of juggling skit-making, music, and acting, what he now craves is peace, rest, and lasting financial stability. His announcement revealed a carefully planned exit strategy, making it clear that the moment he hits his ₦5 billion target, he’s retiring from the limelight.
His revelation quickly stirred conversations online, with many fans agreeing that fame can be mentally exhausting, while others cheered him on to keep pushing until he achieves his goal.
