Nollywood star Regina Daniels has publicly broken down amid the deepening family crisis involving her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, and her brother, Sammy West, who was recently remanded in Keffi Prison.
In an emotional post shared on her Instagram page early Friday morning, the actress poured out her pain and frustration, accusing the authorities of injustice and alleging that her brother’s arrest was politically and personally motivated.
“I give up! What was my brother’s offense? Fighting for his baby sister because his in-law would always beat her up? I actually accorded the Nigerian Police some respect but shame on you all! It’s obvious the highest bidder always wins,” Regina wrote.
She went further to accuse Senator Nwoko of using his power and influence to silence her family, adding that the case against her brother had no legal basis.
“Now I’m crippled! I will return if that’s the only way, do whatever he says, get injected to be like a zombie, get locked up and raped in the house. Only then will my brother return. Because by law, there is no tangible case against Sammywest! Ned Nwoko is bigger than the whole of Nigeria, that’s what this means. We lost or rather, I lost,” she added.
The emotional post comes after reports emerged that Sammy West had been arrested in Lagos and allegedly flown to Abuja in a private jet by operatives linked to the senator before being remanded at Keffi Prison by a Dutse Magistrate Court.
Earlier, Regina’s elder brother, @sweezzy1, had also raised alarm over the circumstances surrounding Sammy’s detention, alleging that their lawyers were denied access and that the presiding magistrate had suddenly gone missing after bail was filed.
