The long-running dispute over the paternity of Liam, son of the late singer Ilerioluwa Imole Aloba (Mohbad), has taken a new turn following fresh revelations from the singer’s widow, Wunmi.
Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, had months ago demanded that Wunmi undergo a DNA test to confirm Liam’s paternity, an issue that has since sparked controversy and led to several court appearances. Wunmi previously alleged that her father-in-law was delaying the process by refusing to provide the signatures required to move forward with the test.
In a new update contained in a recent court filing, Wunmi claimed that Joseph Aloba insisted the DNA test must be conducted at two foreign hospitals of his choosing, arguing that only those facilities were capable of producing reliable results. She further accused him of attempting to influence the outcome of the test, despite being the one who requested an additional examination.
According to her submission, the court has now stepped in and ruled that it will independently select the hospital where the DNA test will be carried out. The court also directed that Joseph Aloba cover all expenses associated with the second test, since he initiated the request.
Both parties have been ordered to make themselves available once the date for the court-approved test is fixed.
