Arsenal’s title ambitions received a vote of confidence from Nollywood icon and lifelong Gunners fan Chinedu Ikedieze (MFR), who says this year’s squad has shown a level of quality and hunger that sets them apart from previous seasons.
Speaking exclusively with BestLagos after Arsenal battled to a 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, Ikedieze praised the club’s impressive form this season, attributing their progress to smarter recruitment and a more competitive squad.
According to him, one of the biggest differences in this Arsenal team is the club’s ability to bring in players who fit Arteta’s vision; players who not only strengthen the starting XI but also raise the level of competition on the bench.
“This time, we signed the right players and are equipped with strong reserves who are hungry to play,” Ikedieze explained, noting that the improved depth has helped Arsenal maintain consistency even during challenging fixtures.
With Mikel Arteta’s project gaining momentum, Ikedieze believes the pieces are finally falling into place for Arsenal to reclaim the Premier League title after two decades.
When asked if this could be the season the Gunners finally lift the trophy again, his answer was short but filled with faith:
“I hope so,” he said.
Ikedieze expressed admiration for Arteta’s leadership, stating that the Spaniard has successfully built a team with identity, discipline, and belief; qualities that have made Arsenal one of the most exciting teams in Europe this season.
As the title race intensifies, Ikedieze says he remains optimistic and fully behind the club, confident that Arsenal have what it takes to go all the way.
