The Chicago Police Department recently notified the public of a violent battery and robbery that occurred on January 5, 2026, at the Monroe Red Line station.
In that incident, a female offender cornered a passenger on a moving train and aggressively battered her before fleeing with her personal property.
While official charges for this specific incident have not been finalized, the identity provided by the community matches a woman with a prolific criminal history in Cook County.
Public records obtained by our investigative team reveal that Black has been cycled through the Chicago police system at least four times in the last three years.
Her history with law enforcement began escalating in January 2023 when she was arrested in the 6800 block of South Marshfield Avenue.
During that arrest, she faced several serious charges, including the illegal possession of a weapon on a public street or alley.
She was also charged at that time with driving on a suspended license and leaving the scene of an accident.
Despite the severity of a weapons charge, Black was back on the streets within months, only to be arrested again in June 2023.
That arrest involved charges of criminal trespass to a vehicle, further establishing a pattern of disregard for the property of others.
The most alarming entry in her criminal record occurred just weeks later, on July 22, 2023, in the 11500 block of South Eggleston Avenue.
In that case, Black was charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Agg UUW) involving a loaded firearm in a vehicle.
Even after being caught with a loaded gun, Black’s interactions with the judicial system continued to result in her release back into the community.
Most recently, in August 2024, she was taken into custody on North Avenue for retail theft and multiple outstanding warrants for her arrest.
