Afrobeats megastar Davido has officially unveiled the tracklist for his highly anticipated album ‘5ive’, set for release on April 18, 2025. Taking to his social media pages, the award-winning singer shared a captivating promotional clip, amping up excitement just days before the drop.
“Legacy is not what you leave behind, but what you breathe into the future. 72 hours away! Thank you for the love & support,” Davido captioned the video, signaling both a personal and artistic milestone.
The upcoming album promises to be a genre-blending masterpiece, packed with heavyweight collaborations from both local and international music stars. Nigerian talents like Omah Lay, Victony, Chike, and OdumoduBlvck lend their voices to the project, adding rich layers of Afrobeats authenticity.
Leading the international lineup is Jamaican sensation YG Marley, featured on the album’s first single ‘Awuke’. Caribbean hitmakers Shensea and 450 also bring island vibes to the project, while American R&B icon and Davido’s longtime collaborator Chris Brown makes a notable appearance.
Adding more star power, three-time Grammy winner Victoria Monét and Latin pop queen Becky G spice up the global flavor. South African amapiano star Musa Keys, who previously featured on Davido’s Grammy-nominated hit ‘Unavailable’, returns for another collaboration. French hitmakers Dadju and Tay C round out the international roster, highlighting Davido’s intent to cater to fans across multiple markets.
In a recent Twitch livestream with alte music star and streamer Cruel Santino, Davido explained the inspiration behind the album’s title ‘5ive’, though details remain under wraps.
Ahead of the album’s release, Davido has already teased fans with three singles, the latest being ‘Be There Still’, an upbeat Amapiano party anthem.
With ‘5ive’, Davido not only celebrates his global reach but also reaffirms his place at the heart of the Afrobeats movement.
