Afrobeats superstar Davido is gearing up to take his electric performances global once again with his much-anticipated ‘5 Alive’ tour and he’s bringing along some of Nigeria’s most exciting music talents.
The Grammy-nominated hitmaker has officially named Victony, Odumodublvck, and Morravey as the supporting acts for the upcoming tour, which will span several iconic venues across North America.
The announcement is a major spotlight moment for the trio of rising stars, each of whom has carved out a unique space in the Nigerian music scene. Morravey, the fast-rising singer-songwriter signed to Davido’s DMW label, made her big break in 2023 with her feature on “In The Garden,” a standout track from Davido’s chart-topping fourth album, Timeless. The success of the collaboration helped launch her career, and she solidified her presence in the industry with her self-titled debut EP, released in 2024, which showcased her vocal versatility and lyrical depth.
Riding the wave of Nigeria’s hip-hop renaissance is Odumodublvck, the fiery rapper whose breakout hit “Picanto” in 2022 catapulted him into mainstream consciousness. Since then, he’s delivered a series of chart-dominating tracks, earning acclaim as the face of modern Nigerian rap. His synergy with Davido was on full display in their recent collaboration, “Funds,” which also features Chike and appears on Davido’s new fifth album, 5ive. Notably, Davido himself presented Odumodublvck with the coveted Next Rated award at the 17th Headies Awards, a symbolic passing of the torch moment that fans will remember for years.
Victony, known for his genre-blending sound and creative artistry, completes the stellar supporting lineup. With a growing catalog of hits and a reputation for pushing musical boundaries, Victony is set to light up the stage alongside Davido, offering fans a diverse and dynamic live music experience.
The ‘5 Alive’ tour kicks off on July 13 in Los Angeles, with Davido set to perform in 10 cities across the United States, including marquee venues like the State Farm Arena in Atlanta and Barclays Center in Texas. The tour will also extend into Canada, where he will take the stage at the Scotia Bank Arena in Toronto and the Place Bell in Laval, bringing the infectious energy of Afrobeats to two of the country’s premier venues.
Originally slated to include a performance at London’s massive Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Davido recently pulled out of the concert where he was expected to co-headline alongside hip hop legend 50 Cent and R&B icon Mary J. Blige. The decision, according to Davido, stemmed from an “unaligned vision” between his team and the concert’s promoters.
Despite that, the ‘5 Alive’ tour remains one of the summer’s most anticipated events, especially with the excitement surrounding 5ive, Davido’s fifth studio album, which features a blend of Afrobeats, pop, and global influences. Fans can expect a vibrant showcase of his biggest hits, beloved classics, and fresh sounds as Davido and his supporting acts deliver unforgettable performances across North America.
