Jurgen Klopp has congratulated his former club Liverpool for winning the Premier League title on Sunday, while predicting a bright future for the club.
Arne Slot, who replaced Klopp in the summer paid tribute to the German manager after winning the league on Sunday.
Klopp took to social media to congratulate the club on Monday.
He wrote on Instagram: “Super grateful for the past, super, super happy about the present, extremely positive about the future!” Klopp wrote on Instagram on Monday, alongside a picture of the title celebrations at Anfield.
“Congratulations – YNWA (You’ll Never Walk Alone).”
Slot showered praises on Klopp for leaving a strong legacy at Anfield.
He said: “I think that is something not one manager ever did before. So that is what definitely helped me,” he said.
“But apart from that, he helped me even more by the team he left behind and the culture he left behind in that team.
“The quality the players have was, I think, obvious for everyone. But the culture of hard work, the culture not only from the players, but also from the staff members, has been incredible.”
Klopp enjoyed a successful time at Anfield winning one Premier League title, one Champions League crown, an FA Cup, two EFL Cups, the Community Shield, a UEFA Super Cup and a Fifa Club World Cup.
He is currently Red Bull’s head of global soccer after leaving Liverpool at the end of last season.
