A Chicago woman testified before U.S. Senators in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, describing the traumatic experience of being dragged from her car and detained by federal agents in an incident captured on a viral video.
U.S. citizen Dayanne Figueroa told senators about the October 10 encounter. After she dropped off her son at school, an SUV intentionally rammed into her car, forcing her to stop. She recounted that masked men then forcibly dragged her out of her vehicle.
A YouTube video capturing the aggressive stop has circulated widely, garnering over 42,000 views. Figueroa was one of five U.S. citizens who testified about similar experiences with federal agents.
Figueroa told the committee she sustained significant physical injuries from the incident, including severe bruising, nerve damage, and aggravated injuries to her leg.
