A Calumet City man has been charged with multiple felonies following his arrest in connection with the sexual assault and battery of a 35-year-old woman in Chicago’s Loop district.
Rasheed Griffin, 23, of the 12300 block of S. Green St., Calumet City, Illinois, was taken into custody by the Chicago Police Department’s Public Transportation Section on December 11, 2025, in the 100 block of W. Lake St.
Police state that Griffin was identified as the person who, just hours earlier, attacked the victim in the 200 block of S. State St. (1st District). The Area Three Detective Division investigated the incident and secured felony charges against Griffin.

The charges filed against the offender are:

One (1) felony count: Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault/Handicapped

Griffin is scheduled for a Detention Hearing today, December 13, 2025, at 2600 S. California.
