In the early hours of Monday morning, a crew of burglars executed a brazen smash-and-grab robbery at a Logan Square Foot Locker store on Chicago’s Northwest Side.
Chicago police confirmed that the incident occurred around 2:56 a.m. at the Foot Locker located in the 3400-block of West Diversey Avenue. A white SUV was reportedly used as a battering ram to smash through the store’s entrance, causing significant damage.
Once access was gained, multiple individuals entered the premises and quickly stole a large quantity of merchandise.
Witnesses report that the burglars abandoned the damaged SUV and fled the scene in two separate vehicles.
As of Monday afternoon, no suspects have been taken into custody. The Area Five detectives are actively investigating the smash-and-grab incident.
