A car crashed through the roundabout doors of Portillo’s at 2810 Route 34 in Oswego on Wednesday afternoon, causing significant damage and injuring three people, according to Oswego police.
First responders were on the scene or en route by 2:11 p.m., as reported in an initial Facebook alert from authorities.
In a fresh update, police stated, “There is still a large presence of emergency responders on scene. Three people with injuries have been transported, one was listed as in critical condition. The investigation remains active and is expected to continue for several hours.”
An eyewitness told us, “He said a car came through the roundabout doors and took out a large section,” highlighting the severity of the incident.
Police are urging the public to avoid the area to ensure safety and facilitate the ongoing investigation.
