Burna Boy’s “No Sign of Weakness” U.S. tour has taken another blow as organisers cancelled two major shows after fans refused to purchase tickets, following weeks of heated controversy.
The Grammy-winning artist was expected to perform on November 28, 2025, at The Armory in Minneapolis, but Ticketmaster abruptly announced the cancellation on Thursday. Another show slated for December 1, 2025, in Chicago was also pulled down.

Though organisers did not provide an official explanation, the cancellations come in the middle of mounting public criticism aimed at Burna Boy. The backlash began after a viral video from his Colorado concert showed him demanding that a couple be removed because the woman had fallen asleep during his set.
The incident sparked outrage, which escalated when Burna Boy doubled down during an Instagram Live session, saying he only wants “supporters who buy tickets, not fans.” The remark triggered widespread boycotts, significantly hurting ticket sales.
Adding to the public sympathy, it was later revealed that the woman who fell asleep had recently suffered a personal loss.

Burna Boy appeared to acknowledge the situation on Friday morning by sharing a Ticketmaster link on his Instagram story, confirming both shows had been cancelled.
The cancellations mark a growing challenge for the singer’s U.S. tour as fan sentiment continues to shift negatively.
