Hollywood icon Bruce Willis, best known for his legendary roles in Die Hard, Pulp Fiction, and dozens of blockbuster hits, has quietly taken a new step in his health journey.
The 70-year-old actor, who has been battling dementia, has now moved into a special care home, according to his wife, Emma Heming.
In a heartfelt interview, Emma revealed that Willis currently resides in a one-story home with round-the-clock care, away from her and their young daughters, Mabel and Evelyn.
“First and foremost, Bruce will want that for our daughters. He would want them to be in a home that caters to their needs,” she explained, emphasizing that the arrangement was made in the best interest of both the actor and his family.
Despite the distance, the family remains deeply connected to the beloved star. Emma shared that she visits Bruce every morning to serve him breakfast and returns in the evening for dinner, often accompanied by their daughters.
Reflecting on his ongoing struggle with dementia, Emma offered a glimpse of hope: “I feel he does recognize me. When we’re with him, he lights up. When we’re kissing him, hugging him, he’s responding.”
Bruce Willis’s health challenges became public in February 2022 when he was diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that affects communication.
A year later, in February 2023, his family confirmed that he had been diagnosed with dementia, leading to his retirement from acting.
