Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has joined the wave of congratulations pouring in for celebrity chef Hilda Baci, following her newest global recognition by Guinness World Records.
Hilda officially secured her second Guinness World Record on Monday after being certified for preparing the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice. The remarkable dish, which weighed an astonishing 8,780 kilograms, was cooked during a highly publicized record-breaking cookout at Eko Hotel, Lagos, last Friday.
Taking to his official X handle on Tuesday, Atiku applauded both Hilda and her corporate partner, Gino, for the achievement.
“Congratulations to Hilda Baci and Gino for setting a new world record with the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice. It is yet another reminder that our people can break records, set standards, and inspire the world. – AA.” he wrote.
The former Vice President further commended Nigerians across the globe, emphasizing that their groundbreaking achievements in diverse fields continue to highlight the country as a hub of creativity, talent, and resilience.
Hilda Baci, who first captured international attention in 2023 when she earned her initial Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, has once again elevated Nigeria’s culinary presence on the global stage. Her latest feat not only cements her place as one of the nation’s most celebrated chefs but also strengthens the pride of Nigerians worldwide.
