Speaking on the Outside the Box podcast, the comedy icon didn’t hold back as he pulled the curtain on some of the scandalous happenings within Nigeria’s high society. Ali Baba recalled an encounter where he unexpectedly met the wife of a friend at the residence of a state governor, only to later be introduced to her again by her unsuspecting husband at a public event.

“I have been in the houses of a lot of big men, governors and the rest and I see wives of people I know doing things,” he revealed. “And I greet them, ‘How are you? How is everything?’ The men do their philandering, tap her bum, and say, ‘Go back inside, I’m not done with you.’ And she walks back in.”

The comedian described how the same woman later showed up at a public function where her husband introduced her proudly. “He said, ‘Meet my wife,’ and I said, ‘Oh madam, a pleasure. I haven’t seen you in five years. Where have you been?’ And she replied, ‘I’ve been around.'”

Ali Baba said she later reached out to him privately, thanking him for not exposing her. “She called and said, ‘Ali, thanks.’ I just said, ‘It’s okay.'”

His story shines a light on the secret lives of some wealthy and powerful people in Nigeria, showing how they often hide cheating and dishonest behavior behind a respectable image.
