A violent afternoon in Albany Park left one man dead and two others hospitalized on Saturday.
The shooting occurred inside a basement residence in the 4900 block of North Harding Avenue.
Chicago Police reported the incident took place around 2:52 p.m. on the city’s Northwest Side.

Three men were inside the home when an unknown shooter opened fire.
A 24-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds during the attack.
Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased victim.
A 29-year-old man was also struck during the gunfire, receiving a wound to his foot.
Paramedics transported him to a local hospital where he remains in fair condition.

The third victim, a 34-year-old man, was shot in the calf.
He drove himself to a nearby hospital and is also listed in fair condition.

Investigators remained on the scene for several hours collecting shell casings and evidence.
No suspects are currently in custody as detectives continue to search for the shooter.

Police are currently checking neighborhood doorbell cameras to identify any fleeing vehicles.
Investigators are also looking into whether the victims were the intended targets of the gunman.
