Chicago law enforcement successfully completed a dangerous operation this week, apprehending a fugitive with a history of extreme violence during a high-risk arrest as part of Operation Midway Blitz.
ICE officers arrested Alan Eduardo Garcia, a 31-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, after a confrontation in which he repeatedly fought to evade custody.
The operation was classified as “high-risk” due to Garcia’s lengthy and violent criminal record.
Arrest Attempt Ends on Balcony
During the arrest, Garcia attempted to escape, creating a dangerously unstable situation. Homeland Security (ICE) reported that officers were forced to intervene when Garcia tried to jump off a third-floor balcony. Officials stated that officers “likely saved his life” by preventing the fall.
The arrest on November 5, 2025, was part of the continuing efforts of Operation Midway Blitz to remove dangerous criminals from the community.
Felony History of Violence
Garcia’s rap sheet reveals a shocking pattern of severe criminal activity, which made his removal a priority for federal law enforcement. His prior arrests and convictions include:
- Felony Strangulation
- Aggravated Battery against a Handicapped or Pregnant Woman
- Domestic Battery
- Battery Causing Bodily Injury
- Unlawful Use of a Firearm
- Disorderly Conduct
ICE officers credited Operation Midway Blitz for successfully removing this violent threat from Chicago’s streets.
