Founded by Adesegun Adeosun Jnr (Smade), and Obi Asika, Afro Nation made its debut in Portugal four years ago and has since then spread its reach to many bubbling cities across Africa and America including Ghana, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Miami, Detroit, and Portimao, The Algarve.

December 2023 will signify a moment in history when Afro Nation, the largest Afrobeats festival in the world, comes home to Lagos, Nigeria where it all started.

This event promises to bring together the biggest global superstars across Afrobeats, Amapiano, Hip Hop, RnB, Dancehall, and lots more to thrill guests. You can expect to see first-class production, iconic live performances and DJ sets over two unmissable days.

The date for Afro Nation Lagos is 19th – 20th December 2023.

The venue for Afro Nation Lagos 2023 is Tafewa Balewa Square, Lagos, Nigeria. This historic square will house the main festival site, which is made up of one sole festival stage and multiple viewing areas. If you are a VIP ticket holder, you’ll get access to stand at the front of the stage.

Getting To Afro Nation Lagos As International Guest

Afro Nation Lagos is a non-camping festival, which means you cannot pass the night within the Square grounds. But, if you need somewhere to stay as a tourist or resident, you can choose from the wide array of top-notch hotels, villas, and apartments to suit your preferences.

The main festival begins in the afternoon every day and runs to the early hours of the following morning. Set times and the full program will be released close to the festival dates.

Food and drinks are not allowed on the festival site. You can buy any food or drink you want at the festival. But, you may bring an empty hydration pack and fill it up at the water stations mounted at the festival.

Can I go in and out of the festival every night?

There is no re-entry into the main festival site every day. Once you go out, you cannot come back in.

Are security measures put in place at Afro Nation Lagos?

Yes. During the festival, security and staff will be on duty. You may contact a staff member or locate proper assistance in case of an emergency.
