Nollywood veteran Chinedu Ikedieze (Aki) has heaped massive praise on Governor Alex Otti, declaring that the rapid transformation happening in Abia State, especially Aba, has made the city feel “like abroad.”
The actor made the remarks at the official flag-off of the Aba Made Film Project, The Chronicles of Enyimba City, held at the Aba Town Hall, where he joined other Nollywood legends from Abia State. Governor Otti was also present at the event.
In an emotional address that drew thunderous applause, Ikedieze revealed he had stayed away from Aba since 2019 because of the terrible condition of the roads. His recent return, however, left him stunned by the visible development.
He said:
“Sir, is there any way we can amend the constitution for you to be governor of Abia State 10 more times? You people don’t understand. The last time I came to Aba was 2019—nowhere to drive through. I just moved around and realized Abia is now like abroad.”
The comic actor noted that he accepted the invitation to the film project because he believes the state finally has a governor who listens and delivers.
“I honoured this invitation because we now have a governor who listens, advises, and does.”
The event marks the beginning of a major film initiative aimed at spotlighting Aba’s cultural heritage, boosting local filmmaking, and showcasing the city’s resurgence under Otti’s leadership.
With Nollywood stars publicly celebrating the governor’s achievements, the launch of The Chronicles of Enyimba City has already positioned Aba as a rising hub for creativity, storytelling, and long-awaited development.
