Popular social media activist Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has waded into the growing controversy surrounding Nollywood actress Doris Ogala and Pastor Chris Okafor, issuing a stern warning amid reports of her arrest.
VDM revealed that he had a phone conversation with Ogala shortly before she was allegedly taken into custody, explaining that he felt compelled to reach out due to a strong sense that trouble was imminent.
According to him, he cautioned the actress during the call, advising her to be cautious and fully accountable for any claims she intended to make publicly.
“There are some things you should not do, and when you do them and come out to confess, you need to confess fully, 100 percent,” he said.
VDM claimed Ogala, during the conversation, stood by her allegations against Pastor Chris Okafor and insisted she had concrete evidence to support her claims. He also alleged that the actress expressed fear for her safety, telling him, “I don’t know what will happen to me tomorrow.”
He further stated that Ogala promised to forward all the evidence in her possession, which she allegedly did shortly after the call.
In a subsequent video shared online, VDM claimed that Doris Ogala sent him documents and materials backing her allegations. He suggested that her arrest may have been aimed at tampering with or destroying evidence allegedly stored on her phone.
VDM went on to issue a direct warning to Pastor Chris Okafor and another individual identified as Jeremiah, stating that he would not hesitate to make the evidence public if the actress is not released.
“Yesterday, my spirit kept telling me to call Doris Ogala. After speaking with her, she sent me all the evidence she had. I know those who arrested her want to destroy the evidence on her phone. I’m warning Pastor Chris Okafor and Jeremiah: if Doris Ogala does not return home by Tuesday, every piece of evidence she sent me will be released on social media,” he said.
Reports indicate that Doris Ogala was arrested on Saturday evening, December 20, 2024, while participating in a live online broadcast. The livestream was reportedly cut short after security operatives arrived at her residence. During the session, an interviewer was heard asking if the police were present, to which Ogala reportedly replied, “Yes, the police are in my house.”
Following VDM’s statements and video posts, reactions have continued to pour in across social media, with many Nigerians closely monitoring the unfolding situation.
As of the time of this report, Pastor Chris Okafor has not issued an official response to VeryDarkMan’s claims.
