Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, has reacted indirectly to allegations raised by Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, who recently called on security agencies to investigate his church over claims of a death during its construction.
Ogala had alleged that part of the church building collapsed while construction was ongoing, resulting in the death of an individual. She also claimed that a blogger later discovered “something on the ground” at the site, an incident she said allegedly caused concern within the church.
According to the actress, the situation reportedly led Pastor Okafor to contact her privately, seeking advice on how to manage the issue and prevent the blogger from making it public.
In response to the growing controversy, Pastor Okafor did not issue a direct statement addressing the allegations. Instead, he shared a video of himself preaching on social media, accompanied by a Bible verse that many interpreted as his reaction to the claims.
The cleric quoted John 15:7, writing:
“When God’s concerns become your concerns, your concerns will become His concerns. If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you.”
His post has since generated mixed reactions online, with supporters viewing it as a message of faith, while critics interpreted it as a subtle response to the accusations circulating on social media.
