Former manager of Nigerian music icon Innocent “2face” Idibia, Kaka Igbokwe, has confirmed that the singer was arrested in London following a heated confrontation with his pregnant wife, Natasha Osawaru.
2Baba had travelled to the UK with his wife Natasha who also serves as a lawmaker in the Edo State House of Assembly for a concert tour. However, he failed to appear at his scheduled show on October 2, 2025, fueling rumours that he had been detained after a fight at the airport.
Speaking during an Instagram Live session with Daddy Freeze on Monday evening, Kaka, son of late music legend Christy Essien-Igbokwe said the circulating reports were accurate. According to him, “everything you heard about the couple’s face-off was true.”
Kaka, who was part of the London logistics team and flew in on the same flight, explained that the misunderstanding began after they landed. Natasha reportedly became upset when she felt 2Face had abandoned her to walk off with fans who led him into a nearby shop.
Realising he had left his wife behind, the “African Queen” crooner rushed back to her, but the tension escalated, resulting in a public outburst that drew airport security intervention. The situation ended with 2Baba being handcuffed and arrested.
A video of the arrest, posted on December 1, 2025, by blogger Tosin Silverdam on TikTok, has since stirred widespread reactions across social media.
