Nollywood actor and content creator Odira Nwobu has reportedly passed away, leaving fans and colleagues in deep shock.
The sad news broke on Monday after fellow entertainer and blogger Awuzie Frankline shared a heartbreaking video showing the actor lying motionless.
While the exact cause of death has not yet been confirmed, Frankline’s posts suggest that Nwobu allegedly died just hours after a night out at a club in South Africa over the weekend.
Overcome with emotion, Frankline wrote on Facebook:
“God why! ODIRA why leave us… The call I received now was not a good one. #Odiegwu.”
In another post, he expressed disbelief and pain:
“You were full of life just hours ago in South Africa, and you even had your thanksgiving service a few months back. Many came to celebrate with you. How can you return from South Africa lifeless? I am drowning in tears. Death is rude. I am heartbroken.”
Comedian Evan Okoro also reacted to the tragic news, sharing Nwobu’s photo with the caption:
“How? No, I can’t believe this. Nooooo.”
Nwobu’s reported passing comes months after he survived a serious car accident, a moment that went viral when bystanders were seen rescuing victims from a mangled vehicle.
