Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Precious Ashiogwu, popularly known as Dede, has appealed to fans to ease up on the pressure they place on ex-housemates after the show.
In a video shared online, Dede opened up about the overwhelming reality of life after BBNaija, admitting that she herself is still struggling to adjust. She revealed that although she had planned to take a long break from social media, various obligations have made it difficult for her to stay offline.
The reality star emphasized that former housemates never promised to entertain fans every single day, noting that many are juggling personal responsibilities, exploring new opportunities, and dealing with major lifestyle changes, all while trying to protect their mental health.
Addressing the frequent rivalries among fan bases, Dede clarified that most ex-housemates are focused on their individual journeys rather than competing with one another.
Despite this, she said she continues to receive messages pressuring her to post more often, describing the constant demands as intrusive and unnecessary.
“People’s mental health is at stake. Give them time,” she pleaded, urging fans to allow ex-housemates the freedom to rest, recharge, and disconnect without criticism.
