The Oyo State Government has announced plans to distribute thousands of free tickets to young residents ahead of Davido’s highly anticipated ‘5ive Tour’ concert in Ibadan, scheduled for November 9, 2025.
The initiative, backed by Governor Seyi Makinde, is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to promote youth empowerment and strengthen the creative industry.
According to a statement, ticket distribution will commence at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, at the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, located within the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Ibadan. Officials will oversee the process to ensure transparency and orderliness.
The Ibadan concert is being organised in partnership with the Oyo State Government through the Agency for Youth Development — a collaboration aimed at boosting youth engagement and spotlighting the state’s growing entertainment scene.
Davido’s ‘5ive Tour’ has already thrilled fans across several Nigerian cities, including Uyo, Yola, and Enugu, with Lagos set to host the grand finale on December 25. The Afrobeats superstar described the Nigerian leg of the tour as “special,” expressing his excitement to perform for home fans following his successful North American run.
The Oyo State Government reiterated that ticket distribution will be strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
Davido’s Ibadan concert marks another major milestone in his global tour, which will continue across Africa and Europe later this year.
