Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Adekunle Olapade, has made a shocking revelation, alleging that he was recently abducted and assaulted by operatives of the Nigerian Police Force.
Taking to his social media page, the reality star narrated how he was “kidnapped, harassed, and handcuffed” by police officers in Lagos, describing the ordeal as one of the most terrifying experiences of his life.
According to Adekunle, the incident lasted for about eight hours, during which he was held against his will. The reality TV star hinted that the situation could have ended tragically if not for what he described as divine intervention.
“What a night! [I was] kidnapped, harassed and handcuffed by the Nigerian Police Force in the last 8 hours. This story could have been a completely different one, and no one would have known. But glory be to God, I’m alive today,” Adekunle wrote.
Although he did not disclose the reason for the alleged abduction or the circumstances leading to it, his post has stirred widespread reactions among fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry, many of whom have demanded an investigation.
The Nigerian Police Force is yet to issue an official statement in response to Adekunle’s claims.
Adekunle, known for his calm demeanor and intelligence during the BBNaija Level Up season, has continued to make strides as a TV personality and brand influencer since leaving the show. However, his recent experience sheds light on growing public concerns about police misconduct and abuse of power in the country.
Fans have since flooded his comment section with messages of relief and solidarity, thanking God for his safety and urging the authorities to ensure accountability.
