Street-hop sensation Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, is once again making headlines, this time for turning down a ₦1 million gift from popular crypto entrepreneur Blord.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, the Zazuu Zeh crooner expressed appreciation to Blord for promoting his song dedicated to controversial activist VeryDarkMan, but insisted that ₦1 million was too small a gesture for someone of his status.
“Blord, God bless you for promoting my song, but give me car. I’m more than ₦1 million. Give me car and you’ll be more famous. I support you,” Portable declared in his usual animated tone.
The singer went on to argue that giving him a car or a ₦1 billion cash gift would bring Blord even greater fame and public goodwill, adding that he’s “too big” to accept such a modest amount.
“Give me one billion, I will appreciate you. I’m bigger than one million,” he added, half-jokingly but with confidence.
Blord had earlier announced plans to gift Portable ₦1 million as a token of appreciation for name-dropping him in his latest track. However, the singer’s unexpected rejection of the offer has sparked mixed reactions online.
While some fans found Portable’s response hilarious and typical of his unpredictable persona, others criticised him for being ungrateful, arguing that ₦1 million was still a generous gesture.
This latest episode adds to Portable’s long list of viral moments, cementing his reputation as one of Nigeria’s most controversial yet entertaining music figures.
