Popular relationship therapist and controversial social media personality, Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, has officially called off her engagement to businessman Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD.
The media sensation made the announcement in a video shared on her social media page, confirming the end of both their relationship and their collaborative content creation. In the clip, Blessing and IVD were seen shaking hands in what appeared to be an amicable parting.
Delivering the news in her signature dramatic style, Blessing said:
“Public Service Announcement. Officially ending the content creation between us. Thanks for the love and engagement. Back to my controversy — love is not for me. Officially selling the ring or giving it out. Thanks for all your support. Na to cover the tattoo for my neck with flower.”
Her breakup announcement comes after months of speculation surrounding the status of their relationship. The couple, who went public with their romance earlier this year, had frequently shared affectionate videos and pictures on social media, fueling conversations and mixed reactions from fans.
Blessing CEO’s relationship with IVD first drew public attention in the wake of the businessman’s late wife Bimbo’s tragic death, a case that sparked heated debates across social media. Blessing, known for her outspoken opinions, had publicly defended IVD at the time, a move that fueled widespread speculation about their relationship even before they made it official.
However, cracks in their union began to surface when the duo were noticeably absent from each other’s social media posts for over a month. Their planned trip to Qatar was reportedly cancelled after IVD’s arrest over renewed suspicions regarding his late wife’s death, an incident that further strained their relationship. Blessing was said to have travelled alone, sparking rumours of a breakup long before her confirmation.
With her latest announcement, Blessing CEO has now put an end to months of speculation, declaring that she’s done with love, at least for now.
Fans have taken to social media to share mixed reactions, with some expressing disappointment while others applauded her for walking away from what they described as a “toxic situation.”
Blessing’s declaration that she intends to cover up her tattoo dedicated to IVD has also gone viral, symbolizing what many interpret as her desire to start afresh.
