23-Year-Old Fashion Designer, imisi Becomes Third Female to Win ₦80 Million Grand Prize.
The curtains have officially closed on Big Brother Naija Season 10, and 23-year-old fashion designer Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, has emerged as the winner of the season, walking away with a whopping ₦80 million grand prize after a suspense-filled finale.
The Ibadan-born contestant made history on Sunday night as the third female to ever win the reality TV juggernaut, joining the ranks of Mercy Eke (Season 4) and Ilebaye Odiniya (Season 8).
Imisi’s victory came after an intense final showdown with Dede and Koyin, who finished as the first and second runners-up respectively. The moment host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced her name, the studio audience erupted into cheers, while Dede warmly embraced her in a show of sportsmanship.
True to her free-spirited nature, Imisi accepted her win in her signature crocs; a nod to the quirky, relatable personality that won her millions of fans throughout the season. Known for her humor, wit, and unfiltered opinions, Imisi became one of the season’s most talked-about housemates, consistently delivering entertainment, emotion, and drama.
This season’s finale carried an unexpected twist after Big Brother revealed that the ₦150 million prize pool had been altered several times due to housemate requests made through the famous red telephone. Each call came with a deduction from the collective prize fund including Kaybobo’s N10 million immunity purchase, one of the most shocking reveals of the night.
The final prize amount, however, was restored to ₦80 million before the grand announcement, ensuring the winner still walked away with a life-changing sum.
Born on January 24, 2002, Imisi is a fashion design graduate from Yaba College of Technology and an aspiring Yoruba actress. Before her entry into the BBNaija house, she had built a modest following on social media for her creativity and fashion sketches.
Throughout the show, Imisi’s “siblingship” with Kola, her fiery exchanges with other housemates, and her involvement in Kola’s on-and-off relationship with Dede kept her name trending across social media platforms.
Speaking to Biggie before the finale, Imisi admitted she hadn’t made any solid plans for the prize money, saying she would seek professional financial advice to make wise decisions. “It would be the biggest money I’ve ever had,” she said with a laugh, words that have now become a reality.
With her triumph, Imisi’s journey from an Ibadan fashion student to BBNaija royalty stands as one of the most inspiring stories of the season. Fans are already eagerly waiting to see what the outspoken and vibrant star will do next in fashion, film, and entertainment.
