Reports reaching BestLagos confirm that operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) raided a well-known snooker center, “Snooze,” in Agric, Ikorodu, Lagos, late last night.
The operation targeted Sheu Spot, a popular hub for professional snooker players.
According to eyewitnesses, NDLEA agents arrested several individuals suspected of involvement in drug-related activities. The raid caused panic in the area, with patrons fleeing the scene and some sustaining minor injuries in the chaos.
This development comes just days after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) stormed Mambillah Hotel in the same Ikorodu area, arresting 38 suspected internet fraudsters. The back-to-back operations signal a heightened crackdown on crime in Lagos suburbs.
As of now, NDLEA has not released an official statement on the number of arrests or items seized during the raid. BestLagos gathered that residents are growing concerned about rising criminal activities, but authorities assure the public they are working to ensure safety.
BestLagos will provide updates as more details emerge on this developing story.
